PMP7146: PMP7146

Part Number: PMP7146

I designed a flyback converter 6 years ago ago using  PMP7146 as  a guide. Same transformer, same ubiquitous TL31.    Over the years  things got lost and converter became little "sick"   I am rusty now too, did not do designs for all these years.

Could y TI or someone else  help by sending  me transfer functions model of   this converter so I can perform  frequency and stability analyses.  I can  use the model and plug values  into  any software program like Simulink.   This way I can learn fairly quick again.

Thank you very much

  • Hello Leny,

You can analyze the stability of any converter with the help of a very good presentation / white paper, part of our Power Supply Design Seminars. In this specific case, a topic is downloadable at the link:

At this link, please select in the "Topic" the "Feedback loop compensation" and click "view results".

The topic I am talking about is the "Switch-mode power converter compensation made easy", held WW in 2016/2017.

Video, white paper and presentation are all available. If you download for example the white paper, on page 19, in the "isolated feedback with optocoupler" paragraph, the loop analyzed is very similar to what employed in the PMP7146. BTW, I suggest to have a look to the whole documents, so also the video and ppt.

    Best regards,

    Roberto
