PMP40379: Audible \Noise

Part Number: PMP40379

Hi Team, We would like to seek your inputs about this situation.

A project for Power Amplifier. Have built this module per reference design - PMP40379, keeping same layout and parts. However, It is getting audible switching noise. The IC UCC25630-2DDBR, same as the reference design - PMP40379.

Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Mark

  • Hello Mark,

    remote trouble shooting is not that easy;
    could you please try to figure out the root cause for the noise ?

    Typically it could be the winding of magnetic elements,
    if winding is not glued or molded could cause some noise.
    Another topic could be ceramic capacitors.

    Myself is using a plastic stick from Chinese restaurant to search the noisy element.
    One end at my ear (not in the ear), the other end touches the elements.

    Be careful, pay attention, it's a high voltage design.
    But due to the plastic stick and a distance of 25cm it works at the lab.

    Best regards, Bernd
