TIDA-00378: test setup query

Part Number: TIDA-00378

Customer is exploring test setup for HVAC sensor similar to given in TIDA-00378 application note for PM2.5 sensor. Can you share more details on test setup ?

They would like to understand the test procedure, temperature and humidity control mechanism/devices used in this test chamber, 10X10X10 feet test chamber details etc.

  • Prahlad,

The only test information I can find for TIDA-00378 is in section 6 of the User's Guide, https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidub65c/tidub65c.pdf

The testing was performed at Intertek in New York using the test room setup for testing room air cleaners/purifiers to the AHAM standard.  Table 8 in the User's guide provides a list of the test equipment used.  From what I understand, the temperature and humidity of the room was measured using the HMW30YB for feedback to the ventilation control of the room for temperature and humidity control.

For exact details of how the room and equipment is set up for this type of testing.  It would be best to contact Intertek directly or consult the AHAM standard (if applicable to the particular sensor use case).

    Regards,

    David
