Tina PSPICE model for TPS62120 and TPS54040

I'm not much of an expert on TINA.  But I can try to help you out with this.  I'll contact the analog elab team on Monday and let you know what I find out.

I am a new TINA user, but support over at TINA.com (Designsoft) said it was an encryption issue. Glad to fill out whatever paper work required so that I can test my circuit with the TI models.

The TPS54040 Reference design for TINA is located in the product folder. Simply download the file and it should work correctly in TINA. The SMPS models in the TI product folders are all encrypted. PSpice models will work in PSpice version 15.7 or higher and the TINA models and reference designs will work on all current versions of TINA even though the macros are encrypted.

The TPS62120 TINA model is currently in QC and should be released to the product folder shortly.

Well, I have to say that this is getting a bit challenging. Choice 'A' for our circuit is to use TPS62120 in my very low power design and I would like the device to be competitive. This low power (energy harvesting)  circuit is expected to dwell in transient start-up state for a significantly long time and so simulating the chip's transient behavior is important.

 I prefer NOT to use the TPS5404. The TPS62120 is the right design choice.

Would you suggest maybe abandoning TINA for PSPICE so that I can use more TI spice models and make my circuit competitive?
