Hi,

I encountered similar issue reported by the below E2E.

We followed the alternative route to get the software. But below link is for Energy measurement design center. How can we get the FW to down load to MSP430 .

Do we need the code to test the EVM, is there any other mean to test the module?

Hi Christina,

Thanks for reaching out. Just to make sure, you did follow all the instructions in the design guide under 6.1, right?
To answer your question, you do only need the energy measurement design center to test the Energy measurement functionality, the rest should work without it.

I will test setup the board myself in the next days and come back to you again.

Hi Christina,

I faced the same issues as you did.

To solve the building problems 2 things are necessary:

1. Installing the old compiler version TI v4.4.6. This can be done under Help-> Install new software->

And make sure this one is selected in the Properties -> General -> Compiler version

2. Fix the path for libmath.a to C:\ti\ccs1031\ccs\ccs_base\msp430\lib\5xx_6xx_FRxx\libmath.a

After this the project should build fine.

Some how I can only find 4.4.8. May I know which other route can I get 4.4.6?

Hi Christina,

did you uncheck the option "Show only the latest versions of available software" as shown in my first screenshot?

Maybe also uncheck the option "Hide items that are already installed" to check if it is already installed for some reason.

I have done what you suggested, (1) installed back to old compiler version and (2) link file search path

New setup of workspace and proposed changes in the marked answer solved the problem
