PSPICE-FOR-TI: Installer just exits, doesn't give any error message

Just to confirm, you don't see the directory C:\Users\{USER_ID}\AppData\Roaming\Cadence\PSpiceTIInstall?

Correct. There is no Cadence directory in my AppData\Roaming directory

I do have "Cadence Orcad and Allegro (Incl ADW) 17.2" and "Cadence License Manager 12.06" installed

This version should not have conflicts, but I will confirm with the software developer, Cadence Design Systems. Could you please confirm your version of PSpice for TI for me? To check, please right-click on the installer exe file and select "Properties." This will open a new window. On the details tab, please find the "Product Version" and report back to me.

Shows product version 17.40.007.

For reference a colleague of mine has the same other Cadence SW installed and recently installed Pspice for TI without any issue

Hi Barry,

Please first check your system cryptography settings using the following steps:

1. Open Windows Control Panel > Administrative tools > Local Security Policy.
2. In the left pane, select Local Policies > Security Options.
3. Then, in the right pane, select ‘System Cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing and signing’.
4. Double-click on this and set it to disabled if it is enabled.
5. Restart the machine and perform installation again.
