TIDA-01606: Modification for low power

Part Number: TIDA-01606

Dear all,

I'm trying to use TIDA-01606 for the grid-connected inverter but it has too high rated power than I can test.

My test power is less than 1 kW, and the input/output voltages are also changed to 200Vdc/100Vac.

Since I need the inverter with high efficiency, I'm planning to change some components.

As far as I know, the twelve switches need to be replaced with low power ones.

Is there any problem if I change them?

Or, is there anything else that needs to be changed?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

    thanks for your question.

Yes, if you want to optimized your design you need to reduce the voltage rating of your switches.

It will required changes in the voltage measurements in order to run them with proper resolution.

If the current in the system is kept the same than you do not need to anything.

I will just recommend to run the DC bus with higher voltage during the control. 200 Vdc for a 100 Vac line to neutral RMS looks quite low.

For example, 260 V for 100 Vac should be ok.

    Best Regards
