TIDM-1007: Totem pole Bridgeless PFC Design in Webench

Hello,

We are referring TIDM-1007 for AC-DC PFC design. We wanted to do some modifications in the design using your power design tool i.e. Webench

In AC-DC designer using these parameters:

  1. Vin_Min = 90 VAC
  2. Vin_Max = 270VAC
  3. Vout = 400VDC
  4. Iout = 9A
  5. Ambient Temp = 30C

After adding above details in the webench I am getting the results of simple PFC Boost Converter but I want the design with Totem Pole Bridgeless PFC topology.

    I'm not quite sure about your question. Do you want to know if TIDM-1007 is good for your specification?

    Thank you for your reply.

    I just wanted to create the Totem Pole Bridgeless PFC topology in webench for above specifications. When tried to do that I got the results for simple PFC boost converter in webench and not the Totem Pole Bridgeless PFC.

    So my question is how to generate the design of Totem Pole Bridgeless PFC topology in webench? It will help me to redesign the TIDM1007 for our requirement.

    Hi Vikas,

    Thanks for trying out Webench and reaching out to us. Kindly note that, currently webench do not support Totem Pole Bridgeless PFC design. As you have observed, Webench only supports simple PFC boost right now. Only alternative I see here is using TIDM-1007 reference which you have mentioned.
