TIDA-01167: D1 at reference schematic is necessary?

Part Number: TIDA-01167
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-00992, LM5060

Hi,

we check the TIDA-01167 technical document, I can't understand why need D1 TVS?

my opint of view, D3 D2 is enough for transient voltage, like LM5050 technical document TIDA-00992 document D1.

and why D3 D2 place at Vout(after LM5060)?

my point of view, suppose D2 and D3 place before LM5060, it still can overcome transient voltage, like LM5050 technical document TIDA-00992 document D1.

Thanks

Kevin
