Hello,
it depends what kind of current sensor you're using.
1) if you use TI isolated current sense amp, like AMC1302/ AMC3302, you need to feed the differential to single end output signal to the ADC of tms320f28379d. The same applies to other hall sensors.
2) if you use TI isolated ADC, like AMC1306/ AMC3306, you need to feed the digital output to the Sigma-Delta Filter Module (SDFM) of tms320f28379d.

I am using Lem LA 55P sensor which I will use as input to the microcontroller TMS320F28379D. Then I have to implement zero crossing detection for the sensed current. But I am not sure which feature of the microcontroller is to be used to implement ZCD.

Actually, there is no ZCD implementation for TIDA-010054, since the it's based on phase shift algorithm. For ZCD (SR), you can refer to TIDM-02002, https://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/tidueg2 at page 16.
