Hi,

We are considering using this module for an optical communication application.

Using SPL PL90 or vsly3943. What would be the maximum achievable distance be?

It would be capable of reaching distances of more than 100 m?

If not what other board would you recommend for optical communications?

    Hi Franco, 

    Thank you for your question. The purpose of this board is to showcase the capabilities of the LMG1020 and LMG1025-Q1 gate drivers for GaN FETs for a LiDAR application. Our expertise is the GaN gate driver and  which is capable of producing ns pulses needed to drive the laser. We don't have expertise on the optical communication application to be able to make a recommendation about the system capabilities you inquired about.
