Design calculation for 5V/500mA regulated non isolated output.

Hello,

I am planning to modify the PMP9087 design for an input voltage 110Vdc - 200Vdc to 5V output and output current of 500mA. Need clarification on the design modification required other than feedback resistors.

Also want to understand if there is any limitation in the meeting the specification (such as duty cycle etc.)

Hi Anand,

I have asked the original designer to take a look and get back to you with the specifics.

Like you mentioned, doing a Buck with 5V output is challenging because of the duty cycle. We need to check if it is possible.
