PMP9656: Function of R3 in PMP9656

Hi Sir,

My customer want to design their AC/DC function by using UCC2897A. In PMP9656, we find R3 parallel with T2. Can we know what's the function about R3? Current sense or? Thanks for your kindly help.

Hi Gary,

R3 provides a low impedance to reduce ringing created by the current sense transformer on the drain of the primary MOSFETs.
