If I want extend the design to 2.5kw

for PFC boost stage & AUX what should I do

Hi Chien, I am asking the original design to comment. In general you will have to check all of the power stage components (FETs, Transformer, Rectifiers, ETC).

Hi Chien,

I designed the power stage and all components of the PFC stage in PMP8740, according to the excel calc-sheet of the UCC28180, available at the following link:

Very likely there will be not so much to modify if increasing the power from 2KW to 2.5KW. BTW, please consider that the PMP8740 is rated 2KW at high-line (down to 184VAC). If you need a 2.5KW for universal VAC range, then I suggest to go with interleaved PFC stage with UCC28070.

Regarding the auxiliary power supply, this has been dimensioned for 10W, while, if I remember correctly, the power consumption of the whole project was 6...7W, so there is still some margin and you don't need to modify it. The whole story is explained in detail in the PMP8740 white paper, see:
