TIDA-00643: How to reduce power consumption when motor is not running ?(System is disabled)

I am working on Instaspin ProjLab5b.

The hardware is TIDA_00643.

The Supply voltage is 12V. It is battery operated.

The power consumption when motor is not running and enable is reset to 0(zero) is 120mA. How can I reduce the power consumption ?

Hi Yash,

Can you ensure that when you are not running the DRV8305 motor driver, can you set the SLEEP bit to reduce input supply current to the sleep mode current and reduce power consumption?

You should also take pin 1 of the DRV low (EN_GATE) before issuing the DRV to sleep via SPI, and pin 4 (SHDN) of the LM1600 LOW to put shut down the 3.3V voltage rail. This should be very low power use.
