PSPICE-FOR-TI: License expiring

Hi Experts,

Good day. We have this issue about PSpice license raised by customer:

While using the tool, she is experiencing a warning message about the near expiration of license. I already explained to her that usually they should have to login to his myTI to revalidate the access key as this only valid for 1yr. But still the problem persist.

Any further advise?

Thank you.

Regards,
Archie A.

  • Hi Archie,

It is not true that the user needs to log into his myTI to validate the access key once he has the tool installed.

Please ask the user to work with his IT support to see if his computer is directly connected to the internet. The tool needs internet connection to renew the license every 30 days.

    Thanks,
    JC

  • Hello JC,

  • Hi JC,

Just got message from customer that they are already came from their IT, and confirmed that their internet connection is fine and no restriction involved.

  • Hi Archie,

Please create a log file as follows:

    1. Create a new environment variable called “CDS_LIC_QA_TesT” and set it to a text file like this:
    2. Close and launch PSpice for TI and run a simulation. The file will be created. As soon as you see the error, close the tool.
    3. You can now rename the environment variable to something else or just deleted it so the log file won’t keep growing.

    Thanks,
    JC
