Windows 10. I'm not saving any project. I just installed PSpice for TI and my Cadence does not work. it looks like some settings are corrupt

Can you please describe the problem in more detail? Is PSpice for TI unresponsive or crashing? Is a warning message displayed? What schematic are you trying to open? Are you able to create a new project?

PSpice for TI is not crushing. Cadence does not open any schematic after installation of PSpice for TI. Cadence was installed and was working long before I installed PSpice for TI. once I installed PSpice for TI, Cadence does not work. it seems that the installation of PSpice for TI corrupted some settings of Cadence. I found out that PSpice for TI is based on Cadence. Cadence even advertises PSpice for TI on its website. But they are not telling anything about the problem you may run into

There should not be any conflicts between PSpice for TI and the commercial version of PSpice. What version are you running?

cadence 17.4. I found some settings changed by PSpice for TI, but I do not know what to do. If you don't know, maybe I ask Cadence

I do not use Cadence for simulations. Just as schematic editor. Now I'm not able to open a schematic. it is not about one PSpice and another PSpice. It is about one schematic editor and another simulation tool. But it looks like there were both designed by Cadence. I was not aware of that initially. And both Cadence and TI shall be aware that there may be conflict. Shame

Hi Aleksandar,

The commercial Cadence tool is a PSpice engine, even if only used for schematic entry. Cadence has designed these tools to coexist without conflict in the same environment. I am able to run both of the softwares on the same machine. If you would like to discuss this issue with the software developer, I can put you in touch with the Cadence team.

I already advised our Cadence administrator. She will contact Cadence. I found out that other colleagues had similar issues in the past. If they had Cadence first and then installed PSPice for TI, then they had same problem like me. If they had PSpice for TI first, and then installed Cadence, then the PSpice for  TI did not work. But I'll keep in mind that I can count on you to connect me to the Cadence team in case there is  no resolution soon
