PMP4320A: INPUT : 48VDC OUT:18VDC 75W AND ANOTHER MODULE INPUT : 48VDC OUT:6.3VDC 75W WITH THE DESIGN

I want to get 18vdc and another 6.3v 75watt value from 48vdc input using the part numbers design. Is it enough for me to change the chip firmware for this? What are your recommendations in this regard? I couldn't find the chip firmware, can you send to me?

  • Hi Niyazi, can you help clarify the currents for each output voltage? Is it 75W each rail? Or it is split between the two outputs? Is isolation needed between the outputs? PMP4320 is an older deign so we wanted to clarify in case there might be newer designs that can be recommended. Thanks!

  • Hi Darwin, thanks for your help, my aim is to make 2 separate modules, one of them is to convert 48vdc to 18vdc. another module is to convert 48vdc to 6.3vdc. I want to half brick as a block. I want my input power to be 94w and my output power to be 75w in both modules. Waiting for your replies, thank you.i have added 18vdc 75w out, the Sample image, In fact, this is the output of the work requested from me.

  • Hi Niyazi,

    For 12V->18V you will most likely have to change to the power stage and adjust the firmware to have an optimized solution. I recommend jumping to an analog controller where we have a reference design that is close to these power requirements. This way, you minimize the amount of change (risk).

    For example, please see below reference designs. You should be able to adjust the feedback divider slightly to get your desired output. Then you can check overall performance (stability, efficiency etc). This might be the best place to start.
