TIDA-020032: The simple_peripheral software crashes the CCS when it gets flashed in the board

Which version of the SIMPLELINK-CC13XX-CC26XX-SDK and CCS are you using, and are you using the hardware from the TI Design or a different PCB?  Are any errors provided when CCS crashes?  Are you still able to run the program outside of the debugger (i.e. the firmware loads and operates as expected)?

I am using simplelink_cc13xx_cc16xx_sdk_6_20_00_29, ccs 12.0.0 and I am using a TI Design hardware. The only error it appears is that the program crashes. When I use uniflash to load the program it seems to get flashed but not sure if it is working properly.

Now I have tried to make a different connection between the board and the computer. The first time it was connected with Segger-Link and it get crashed as I said before. The second time I connected with UART and it seems to be debugging, but once it tries to run the program, it send me an error telling that

Cortex_M4_0: GEL Output: Error: Unknown debugger.
Cortex_M4_0: Trouble Writing Memory Block at 0x0 on Page 0 of Length 0x7ff0: Read timed out
Cortex_M4_0: File Loader: Verification failed: Target failed to write 0x00000000
Cortex_M4_0: GEL: File: C:\Users\javier.sanchez\workspace_v12\simple_peripheral_CC26X2R1_LAUNCHXL_tirtos7_ticlang\Release\simple_peripheral_CC26X2R1_LAUNCHXL_tirtos7_ticlang.out: Load failed.

I have discovered that when it crashes using the segger link, the error it appears is Cortex_M4_0: Trouble Reading Register PC: InitTarget(): PCode returned with error code -1

I recommend contacting Segger regarding technical issues with their products.   Connecting with UART is not an active debugger approach.  You could also try to use a XDS110 programmer which comes on-board the SimpleLink LaunchPads.  https://dev.ti.com/tirex/explore/node?node=AEkWQJzOeou7V3Syra6w9w__FUz-xrs__LATEST
