TIDA-010015: UCC256402A

Hi,

We are using TIDA-010015 design for 500W power supply design.

We are using LLC IC UCC256402A.

We are facing issues as below

1) Transient response may be occurs, when we are stepping 0A to 10A then Unit restarting.

2) Above 24*15A=  360W Unit restarting after 1 or 2 minutes after power on. At 15A after 5 to 10 Minutes continuous on LLC IC damaged (VCC Pin).

Below Some Waveform at 230VAC 24VDC*15A

Can you please help us to resolve the issue.

  • Hi Vivek,

    First , make sure all of parameters on your board are the same or close to the suggested value in the calculator , after reviewed your calculator I found some difference special for the BW pin divider resistors and LL/SS pin divider resistors.

    In the waveforms you attached , I don't found any abnormal , for the damage issue after 5~10 mins burn in , did you have monitor the temperature of key components such as MOSFET , and capture the waveform when failure happens , using Vout to trigger the event , capture  half bridge mid node voltage and resonant current .
