TIDA-00199: TINA simulation help

Part Number: TIDA-00199

Hello Team,

My customer is trying to simulate TIDA 00199 flyback design in TINA however could not find the transformer Wurth Elektronik 750315038 design in the software. How can they implement the transformer?

Regards,

Renan

  • Renan,

    thank you for reaching out.

The current info from the design guide is:  The transformer used in this design is built with a PQ2020-core through-hole package by Wurth Elektronik, The transformer specification has a secondary-to-primary turns ratio of 2.33:1, and all four secondary windings have the same turn count. The primary inductance is 36.5 µH

We will check with the TIDA-00199 designer and find out if we have any further information on the transformer.

    Regards,
    Martin

  • Hello Renan,

I talked to the designer. We do not have a TINA or PSpice model of the transformer. The only data we have is outlined in the design guide.

The transformer used in this design is built with a PQ2020-core through-hole package by Wurth Elektronik, The transformer specification has a secondary-to-primary turns ratio of 2.33:1, and all four secondary windings have the same turn count. The primary inductance is 36.5 µH.

We'd refer your customer to the transformer vendor Wuerth to check, if Wuerth has more info e.g. leakage inductance, etc.

    Regards,
    Marti
