In this reference design, could you please explain how equation (3) is derived.

    Sorry,  looks like the equation is wrong.

    The output capacitor needs to meet both the hold-up time and the low-frequency voltage ripple requirements, choose the higher one. Assuming ripple voltage is 40Vpp, and hold up voltage is 360VDC in 10mS, see below calculations.

     

    So, choose 2303uF as the output capacitor.

     

    You can also refer to datasheet of UCC28180 at https://www.ti.com/product/UCC28180, output capacitor calculation can also be found.

    I went through the schematic provided along with the reference design (TIDA-00779). Could you please explain how the common mode filter is designed or provide any reference based on which the design was carried out.
