TIDA-00554: Failed to wavelength calibration

Part Number: TIDA-00554

Dear TI support team,

Please let me express my deepest thanks first for the previous support and help.

We have been able to complete the calibration procedure of the slit and photodetector alignment by referring to the calibration document you provided. However, there are still a few problems we tried but still can't solve.

According to the normal process, wavelength calibration requires three steps:

1. Connect the empty EcoVis Light Source Sampling Module to the EVM through the Fiber Module.

2 Place the RM-NIR sample  in the EcoVis sampling Module.

3. Connect the AR-1 Light source to the system.  Then wavelength calibration is finished.

We are failed to pass wavelength calibration routine. The Error massage is “unable to find peaks”. We analyze that this might be related to the third party equipment we use.

We would like to make sure that if all the calibration processes must proceed by using the required third party equipment? If we choose other third-part equipment, such as tungsten halogen lamp instead of Ocean Optic’s EcoVis light source, other types of Transmittance reference(absorption peaks may be different), can we carry out wavelength calibration? If yes, do we need to configure any parameters?

Hope I haven’t caused you any trouble.  Looking forward to your reply.

Thank you again.

Best regards,
