TIDA-00443: Input cap RMS current calculation

Referring to section 4.2.6in the design document, I can find that the Iripple = 2.75A.

I calculated the RMS current as shown below:

The data sheet of the selected capacitor shows that at 100kHz, it can carry an RMS current close to 2A:

I would like to know the following:

1. Whether my rms calculation is correct 
2. If yes, why two capacitors are used in the design
