TIDA-010210: Designing a 6KW inverter power supply along with PFC rectifier + 1KW DC power supply

Part Number: TIDA-010210
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDM-1000, , TIDA-01604, UCC28951

Team, Designing a 6KW inverter power supply along with PFC rectifier + 1KW DC power supply.

Requirement 1: To simplify it, at first, I'm designing a 6KW inverter power supply (50 / 60 Hz) for the AC compressor (Load).

The input is AC voltage input (From grid or from generator)

(OR)

a high voltage DC from ePto.

  Ac Source DC Source (ePto)
  single phase

200 ~ 550 VDC

In-discussion

Grid 270 Vac (Limited by Grid @ 16Amps)
Generator 270 Vac ~ 350 Vac
  3 phases

950 VDC (Max)

In-discussion

Grid 400 Vac
Generator 400 Vac ~ 700 Vac

Explanation in simple terms: To reiterate, At any instant, i have either an AC source or a DC source.  To design the inverter for the required wattage (6KW), I'm considering a Three phase PFC topology (Closed loop). Next The rectified output is a high voltage DC bus. Now the inverter topology is given this High DC input to perform DC/AC conversion (Closed loop).  Additionally, if there's no AC input, there is a DC input from a DC source. May be for the sake of simplicity let's forget the DC source, and just focus on the AC input. What will you suggest in that scenario. Also, I'm reading through these documents to make use of, TIDA-010210, TIDM-1000 and TIDA-01604.

Some Points which I'm considering in the designing process: Correct me if these are incorrect.

1. I want to limit the use of controller (TMS320xxxx) to one single unit to control the inverter + PFC rectifier.

2. I was thinking to make use of the single Active PFC rectifier to the single phase as well as three phases since there is a controller (TMS320xxxx). is this possible?

Requirement 2: Also, for the DC-DC converter (12V/84A isolated supply) I'm planning to go with UCC28951.

The input to this converter, shall be the rectified Output i.e., (High voltage DC bus) or directly the DC source.

I Would want to know whether I'm heading in the right direction, and which is the optimal solution you would direct me. I'm wide open to suggestions. Please guide.
