I'm looking to design a PFC either of Boost type as in TIDA-00779 or Totem Pole topology. One of the main objectives is reaching a high efficiency and TIDA-00779 seems to be a very good match, but I wonder how the efficiency was measured for the design.
It would seem to me that the numbers are too good to include all losses input-to-output, considering that the rectifier bridge alone dissipates around 1%, fast diode around 0.3% and the design also should have considerable Qrr losses.
