TIDA-020047: AWR2243 Power Supply Sequencing

Part Number: TIDA-020047
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR2243,

Hi TI Team,

The power-up sequence in TIDA-020047 design is different  as described in awr2243 datasheet:

In awr2243 datasheet Figure 8-2 the VIOIN_3V3 goes up at last, while in TIDA-020047 reference design the 3v3 goes first.

So, can we say that the VIOIN_3V3 sequencing is not so critical?

  • Hi Andy,

That is correct.  As noted at the top of the chart, the key is to have all rails stable before de-asserting nRESET.  On the reference design, this is handled by the PMIC releasing RESET on the SoC (AM2732ADR), then the SoC releases the RESET's for the AWR2243's.

    Regards,

    Brian
