TIDA-010086: How to perform discharge using TIDA-010086

The TIDA-010086 mainly focuses on charging which is based on Buck conversion. I will need some pointers on how this reference design achieve CC and CV in details.

On top of that, a battery formation system will also include discharge operation. I believe the same circuit can be used for the operation but instead running a Boost converter from the perspective of the Battery terminal. 

I am trying to find more info on the boost in the  powerSUITE however there is no available example on boost converter. 

I would be glad if anyone could help on that

    Hello Albert,

    The current control loop will automatically switch the current direction if you apply a negative current command. When Charging, the buck converter voltage is slightly more than the battery voltage. During discharging, the buck converter is smaller than battery voltage, which allows it to sink current. Please see the below circuit to understand how bidirectionality will work. I have given you access of the software. Let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks for your reply . I saw that the .tsc file is the simulation file . I will try that on Tina . Btw are you able to share with me the firmware project for this project .

    Hi Shaury,

    From the schematics, it seems that the current sensing is feedback to the MCU via the 24-bit ADC. May I know if you are using Voltage Mode or Peak Current Mode Conversion topology.

    Another questions is the speed of the the 24-bit ADC is 32ksps. Will that sampling speed sufficient for the control
