TIDA-01513: Need help understanding the user guide

I am working on implementing TIDA-01513 in my design.

The user guide shows some formulas but some are not clear whether They are used for each relay is closed or just one or the other.

Also, there are no direct correlation on calculating the actual leakage current. Maybe its there, just not straight forward?

I would like to know the actual implementation procedure, and the Outputs that I can use, knowing that my need is to actually get the Isolation resistance, and leakage currents.

I can share my schematic for clarification, just le me know.

I do have more questions regarding the user guide, but I do not want to flood this thread with all my questions right away.

  • hi, this is Bing from SEM team, i am not the designer, but i have just check the use guide, i think it is clear for the formulas, formulas 1 and 2 are when S1 and S2 are both closed, and no leakage current. you could get the RISO and through the formulas 4(S2 close and it has a leakage current on HV_POS side), then you could get the leakage with the change of formulas 4, (HV_BATT+VREF)/(Rns1+Rns2+Riso). For more questions about this design, maybe we could also have discuss on line.

    Yes, I do have some more questions regarding the design and I would gladly accept any online discussion that you may be available for.

    For your information, I do have a working prototype of this design, and I was able to get similar results for my actual measurements versus the calculated measurements. 

    The additional questions I have is just to make sure I only use necessary measurements  needed especially for the 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 stack leakage.

    Also, something about making this design fully isolated by using AMC1351 after the measurement.

    I will gladly discuss this in detail.
