TIDA-010054: Gate Driver Card, High current consumption.

Part Number: TIDA-010054
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01605, UCC21710

Hello everyone:

We have manufactured the gate driver card from the TIDA-010054 CAD files.

We have power the board with 5 and 3.3V and we have applied PWM signals with the board not connected to any MOSFET,

the board outputs the signal correctly, but the consumption is very high. The supply from the 5V side is consuming 2.3W and the LDOs U9 and U10 are very hot.

Do you know what should the board consumption be in idle state?

We have replaced the transformers for the ones stated in the design guide (TIDA-01605 ) so we can obtain an output to drive the Mosfets of +15 /-4V, but due to the high consumption on the board we can only obtain +11/-4V.

We have already done basic checks looking for shorts, and we haven't found anything "on both sides of the transformer".

Any clues?  Thanks in advance!
