TIDA-010081: TIDA-010081 with a 24V Output

Part Number: TIDA-010081
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-010015

Hi,

the linked thread mentions/implies the use of TIDA-010081 reference design for a 24V output.

Has anybody tried this?

I've looked at TIDA-010015 & TIDA-010081 - which design would be a good start for an 800-1000W 24V power supply?

Any input or direction would be really appreciated.

I'm leaning towards the TIDA-010081 with a 24V Output.

Thanks for reading,

Lee.

  • Hi Lee,

In my opinion, it will be easier to alter TIDA-010081 since this design is already 1kW output power. Modifying TIDA-010015 to support 1kW would require changes to both the LLC and PFC compared to just updating the LLC of TIDA-010081.

For TIDA-010081, you will want to update the transformer turns ratio and confirm your new LLC power stage parameters has the necessary gain to support 1kW. You will also need to update the synchronous rectifier to account for the higher RMS currents on the secondary. You can update the output voltage regulation point by updating the resistor divider connected to U10.

  • Hi Ben,

thank you very much for the advice on the necessary steps in making this change.

I will come back to the forum for a design check when I have completed the changes and laid out a schematic.

    Many thanks,
