PMP8740: Design Details of L1, L3 and T4 of PMP8740 Reference Design

Hello Team,

We are working on the 2KW Reference Design. Please share the Design Details of L1(PFC Choke), L3(PSFB Secondary Side Inductor) and T4(PSFB Main Transformer) of PMP8740 Reference Design.

Please share the Number of wires, wire gauge, turns ration and other details for Fabrication.

    Here are some details about the magnetics of PMP8740:

    1) L1 (PFC Choke): I developed it by myself, by employing two cores in parallel from NKL, part number CM400125 D0522-00. One single core has external diameter = 40mm and thickness 15mm; by using two in parallel, the thickness will be 30mm, and the Al value double (The total inductance is 210uH). I used 35 turns of single "enamelled" (standard) copper wire, with a diameter of 1.6mm. I added isolation tape before winding; in theory is not necessary, because the core is already coated, but it increases the isolation performance.

    2) L3: this is a custom inductor, and has been developed by Kaschke. I attached the datasheet, but I don't have the details about its construction.

    As alternative, you can use also the attached inductor from Wuerth, which has a bit higher RDC but smaller dimensions.

    3) Main transformer T4: also this is a custom provided by Kaschke, here follows the original datasheet (sorry I don't have the details of its internal structure):

    Also here as alternative there is a very similar part from Wuerth that you can use, and, obviously since this part has been provided by them, the internal structure is not disclosed:
