TIDA-00580: Modification without I2C interface

Part Number: TIDA-00580

Hello,

First and foremost thank you for releasing this Discrete Automotive Rotary Quadrature Decoder Reference Design. This is a very helpful base for the application I am currently working on.

I plan on getting the rotation direction (CW or CCW) and a count signal of three rotary quadrature encoders. The thing is I would like not to use the I2C communication protocol.

I used the DIR signal out of U3 pin 4 to retrieve the rotation direction but I do not know how to get the count signal (ticks) so I can increment a MCU counter.

I plan also on using 1024 ppr rotary incremental encoder.

Thank you in advance for your help! Slight smile
