PMP4435: DC/DC Power supply

Hi there,

could you please recommend adjustment for PMP4435 to be used as LEDs power source which operates in settable constant current mode (output current 0-5Amps)?

Parameters:

DC input: 24Vdc

LED panel: 96 LEDs (max. power 5A/18V) 

output current: 0-5Amps

Settable current (step): 0,001Amps
Current stability under 0.001Amps

output voltage: 10-18V (estimation)

comm interface: usb/i2c/rs232/rs422...(suitable for mcu)

Note: In our case LEDs works in continues mode (not PWM mode).

    Hi,

    I went through PMP4435 schematic, which should be applicable to the spec you listed. However, to achieve the current step you need, you will need to use higher resistance value and high accuracy resistor as your current sensing resistor. UCD controller used in the design can support I2C and UART communication.
