Hi,

We would like to design DC-DC converter with output  of 3KW, 28V, 108A by  using PMP8740 reference design.

Input will be 390 to 400VDC.

Is it possible with this to get 3kW output by changing the design like transformer, MOSFETs etc.,? 

Please let me know availability of microcontroller program/ code

Please suggest me is there any other reference design to meet the requirement

    You can take as start point PMP8740 to build a 1KW - 2KW DC/DC converter based on PMP8740.

    This DC/DC has gate drive transformers for the full bridge stage, and I would say 2kW is a limit for the gate drivers.

    For 3KW I suggest to use half-bridge gate drivers like UCC27714. You can find an example of their use in the UCC27714 EVM, available at the following link:

    As shown here on page 7, figure 1, two UCC27714 are driving 4 MOSFETs and their inputs are isolated by employing a digital isolator ISO7240 (U4).

    Of course you will need to redesign the power stage to adapt it to higher power. In this case, please enter your main data in the UCC28950 excel calc-sheet, available here:
