TIDA-010210: I am confused why using the cmpc=counter to trigger the isr

Part Number: TIDA-010210

Tool/software:

Dear TI support staff

I am reading the TIDA-01020. i see that at the cmpb=counter  triggering the soc, and the cmpc=counter triggering the interrupt. I would like to know the reason behind it.

thanks

  • Dear Jinghang,

in general, the SOC and the ISR can be in two different different timing. For example, sampling on a a vertex of a triangle and on the bottom of the next triangle executude the ISR.

I general it is always important to trigger the SOC on the vertex or bottom of the triangle to get out the mean value of the measured values.

    Thanks

    Best Regards
