TIDA-01605: Why are Com and MOSFET Source connected together?

Part Number: TIDA-01605

Tool/software:

Hi,

I have a question on the schematics for TIDA-01605, where ComA and MOSFET Source S1 are connected together. Same as ComB and Source S2. Figure below is a screengrab from the schematics.

As I understand, the ComA is the mid-point between the +15Vdc and the -4Vdc rail and is at 0V. However, the Source does not have to be at 0V. For example, in the H-bridge, the upper switch Source will be at mid-point (0V to GND), but the lower switch will be at negative DC-bus to GND.

Can you please provide clarification? Thank you in advance.
