TIDA-01243: Looking for MegaChips MCDP2850 programming tool and example firmware

Taking a look at the schematic I see that the MCDP2850 is connected to a SST25VF080B external flash. 

I see a section on programming the flash in the manual, but it refers to the TPS6598x.  The TPS6598x is the PD controller.  Is this what you are referring to?

Hi Nicholas, Apologies for the delayed response. For some reason I never got an email regarding your reply.

In truth, there was a document which went through the steps of programming the TIDA-01243 which I can't find anymore for the life of me.

The document noted three things that needed to be flashed, the TUSB8040, the MCDP2850 and one other thing. So far I have acquired the software to program the TUSB8040 however I have not found any documentation on how to program or set-up the MCDP2850 or its accompanying flash.

We are having the TIDA-01243 manufactured from scratch, and thus we would need all the software and documentation to set up every part of it.

Any advice in the right direction would be much appreciated!

I have located programming documentation again, and the software/hardware we need to locate is in step 3.3: How to Program the Megachip Devices: Bobcat and Pegasus.
 We also need the software and hardware mentioned in step 3.1

Thanks for the image.  I have found the document (TIDUC52).    

The software in step 3.1 is provided by a 3rd party TotalPhase.  Flash Center is available on their website and their SPI hardware is available for purchase.

It looks like the Gprobe 7 software mentioned in Step 3.3 may also be provided through 3rd party.  

Finding the FW files that are to be used by these tools for this reference design may need to be provided by TI though.  I don't typically support this reference design.  I support the TUSB8040.  Give me some time to track down where these files may be or who I can ask to find them.

 Hi Nicholas, thanks for the link to TotalPhase, we'll definitely need the firmware files for both step 3.1 and 3.3 - Thankfully we have already tracked down the software and firmware for step 3.2.

Thanks for sourcing the firmware - We are still waiting for our Aardvark to arrive to attempt the flash, hopefully we will receive this early in the new year.
