TLV840: Request for PSpice Model for TLV840NADL20DBVR Device

Hello TI Team,

I’m currently working on a design that uses the TLV840NADL20DBVR device, and I would like to simulate its behavior in PSpice for TI. However, I haven’t been able to find the corresponding SPICE model in the official library or within the component search in the software.

Would it be possible to add the TLV840NADL20DBVR model to the PSpice for TI library? This would greatly facilitate the validation and simulation process for those of us integrating this component into our designs.

Hi Juan,

The threshold values can be modified in the TLV840 PSpice model. To do this, you can download the original model from ti.com: TLV840 PSpice Model. Once you've downloaded this model, open it up make a copy of the "tlv840madl13_trans.lib" file, and name it "tlv840madl20_trans.lib". Open this file in a text editor and change vitp to 2.1 and vitn to 2.0, as shown here:

You can also replace any mention of "TLV840MADL13" to "TLV840MADL20" in the file to prevent any confusion. From here, you can import the new .lib file into PSpice.

Leaving the MR and CT pins disconnected will make the device behave the same as the N variant.

Thanks. This is perfect, but when I try to simulate, a message like this is displayed:

ERROR(ORPSIM-15108): Subcircuit TLV840MADL20_TRANS used by X_U4 is undefined

When I try to view Spice Model, I get

So, we cannot simulate my circuit:

I think this error can occur when the simulator is not configured to include a library that is in your schematic. This video covers the process of importing model files into PSpice for TI, and shows the process for configuring the simulator around 2:40.
