I am trying to simulate the TPS543C20 under transient conditions in Pspice for TI. To do this I would like to use the circuit and steady state model in TPS543C20RVF_TRANS and add a current sink pulse that will draw between 1 and 40A. However, when I do anything to change the load in this model the IC can't regulate. This includes just changing the load to draw 35A instead of 40A with no current sink. If I use the startup model I can add a pulsed current sink, but the simulation time is very long.
Here is a screenshot of the circuit that cannot regulate. All I have changed from the default model is that RLOAD draws 35 instead of 40A.
