PSPICE-FOR-TI: OPA810vsOPA2810 Pspice for TI simulation result difference

Part Number: PSPICE-FOR-TI
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA2810, OPA810

Hi,
I'm performing TIA simulation for OPA2810 and OPA810.
When I use OPA810, I could get almost expected output voltage as shown below.
However when I use OPA2810 which is dual channel version of OPA810, I could observe storange behavior as shown below.

It seems that behavior of OPA2810 model is a little bit storange.
Could you please check whether there is no problem for spice model of OPA2810 or not ?

Best Regards,

  • Hello Machida-san,

In this rare instance, our dual channel amplifier is a bit different compared to our single channel amplifier. The OPA2810 has a BW of 105MHz, while the OPA810 has a BW of 140MHz.

I replicated the circuit and it seems to be working on my end, is PW and PER suppose to be 1e+9s? I will be able to replicate it in PSpice by tomorrow as well.

    Thank you,

    Sima

  • Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.
     >is PW and PER suppose to be 1e+9s?
I just set "Step" response as shown below. I did not set "PW" and "PER" intentionally.

    >I will be able to replicate it in PSpice by tomorrow as well.
    Thank you for your response.
    I wait for your feedback.

    Best Regards,

  • Hello Machida-san,

I was able to run it on PSpice for TI, and was able to get the same output for both devices.

Would you be able to run the attached project on your end? It might be an older version of OPA2810, if it works on your end, can you compare the dates on the netlist?

    OPA2810.zip

    Thank you,
    Sima

  • Hi,

    Thank you for your reply.
I could confirm your attached project worked correctly.
However, when I just changed OPA2810, I saw issue.

    >t might be an older version of OPA2810, if it works on your end, can you compare the dates on the netlist?
Could you please tell me how I can confirm netlist date on Pspice ?

    Best Regards,

  • Hi,

I'm sorry I could confirm netlist information.
Here is your model and my model information.
It seems that model version is same...

    Your model

Model which I changed OPA2810 on my side

    Best Regards,

  • In addition, I also tried that I copied only symbol of OPA2810 from your attached project to my original project.
As a result, I could observe expected result. So, it seems that there is problem on library of OPA2810.
However, as I described previous thread, it seems that revision of each lib file is same...
Now, I will use lib file of OPA2810 which I copied from your project to proceed evaluation. However I would like to investigate what is root cause of this problem..
Since I would like you to share my project so please accept my friendship request.

    Best Regards,

  • Hello Machida-san,

Thanks for testing the different methods on your end. I accepted the friend request.

    Thank you,
    Sima

  • Hi Sima-san,

Thank you for your reply and accepting my request.
I sent my project to you and check projects.
