TINA-TI_ENGLISH: Errors simulating TMCS1107

Part Number: TINA-TI

I am trying to run a simulation of this part. Without the time-switch it works fine, but one I put in the time switch (to simulate a fuse blowing) I get either a convergence or floating point overflow error depending on the simulation settings I choose.

I have attached the circuit.

  • Hi Keith,

I am looking into this and will get back to you tomorrow.

  • Hi Keith,

The model is not able to run it as you have defined, but what you can do is model a current source and have it step down to 0A to simulate a fuse blowing.

If you do this you will see the same behavior that is defined in our datasheet shown here:

In TINA if you double click on the model and select "Enter Macro" you can see the code that describes under what conditions the model is defined. The model is only defined in the linear operating range.

I hope this is a suitable alternative method to what you are trying to do.

    Best,

    Holly
