SwitcherPro Desktop Design List data transfer

I want to transfer Design List data to another PC.

Is it possible?

If possible, which data file should I transfer?

  • Dear Kohei Sasaki San:

We will get back to you soon with an answer.

    Thanks,

  • Dear Kohei Sasaki-san,

The instructions for SwitcherPro installation are:

    • Download and Install SwitcherPro Desktop on the new machine. Once SwitcherPro is installed you need to copy the design store from your old machine
    • Design Store: SwitcherPro Desktop application saves user designs in a file (SwitcherProDB.vdb3) in the same folder where the application is installed.

    • Copy the design store file from the old machine to the new machine. The new machine will already have this file since it comes with the installation. You will be overwriting this file on the new machine.
    • Launch SwitcherPro Desktop on the new machine and you should be able to see your designs.

One way to save your existing designs is to make a copy of the design database file. But at any given time, you can only look into the designs from one database file.

Hope this answers your question. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Best Regards,

    Flora

  • Thank you for your answer.

    And I have additional question.

When I want to transfer My Parts data of Library Manager to another PC, which file should be copied?

    Is it the "SystemParts.plib" file?

  • Hi Kokei Sasaki-san,

    SwitcherProDB.vb3 is the design store.

"My parts" are located under “My Documents/Texas Instruments/Proframework/Protools/PartsLibrary/MyParts.plib”

Here is where to find them. All you need to do is copy this file to the new machine.

    Best Regards,

    Flora
