OPA171, OPA172, TINA-TI, automated / batch-mode simulation

Hi all

Our key-account LEM is looking at the OPA171 and OPA172. They are running extensive simulations, normally using LTSpice. They are also looking at TINA-TI and have this question:

Is it possible to do batch-mode processing in TINA-TI ?

Is it possible to run multiiple simulations with variable parameters and output to tools like Matlab or Excel ?

It is not possible to run batch mode simulations using TINA-TI.
Likewise TINA-TI cannot interact with other tools like MATLAB or Excel.

If you want to look at sim results in another tool, you must export the plotted curves to a text file (File/Export/As text in the plot window) and then import the file into MATLAB or Excel.

It is not clear what is meant by simulations with variable parameters.
You can do DC sweeps with TINA-TI, but it is not possible to do Monte Carlo simulations.

As to variable parameters:

The customer was referring to e.g. source / input voltage stepping and component value stepping.

Ueli,
You can sweep a source value or a component value in the DC sweep analysis option.
