REG113_33 SPICE models.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: REG113

I'm using the REG113_33 in a battery backup application and need to generate some simulations using MicroCap9. No .lib or .olb for this part is available in MicroCap but I can generate them by using Orcad Capture 14 if I can only get hold of the IC circuit. Does this circuit exist or am I stuck here? The REG113 spec sheet gives very limited information. I have been using the LT1763_33 for preliminary simulations but need the real McCoy from Texas Instruments.

Any help will be much appreciated.

  • Johann,

At this time, we do not have a spice model for this device. We have several LDOs in our portfolio (http://www.ti.com/lsds/ti/power-management/single-channel-ldo-products.page?)and many of the newer ones are supported with Spice models. Can you possible use one of the newer LDOs?

    Thanks,
  • Hallo Nikhil,

Thanks for answering my question.  Unfortunately, the REG113-33 has already been designed into a PCB and operating correctly. I needed to verify the delay from 'off' to 'on' using the Enable pin that seems to be heavily load dependent. In a battery backup system, this delay is fairly critical, especially if the load is very small. At least I now know not to beat my head any further trying to get a simulated answer. Out comes the Scope and probes!

    Thank you again.

    Sincerely,

    Johann Scheepers
