SN65LVDS389 IBIS Model Issue

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LVDS389, SN75LVDS389

Hello Team,

We have received feedback about the IBIS model from one of our customers. Please see below. I have seen other posts concerning the IBIS model for this part. At the time it was showing no updates were planned. Is this still the case?

I was doing a Hyperlynx simulation with an LVDS389 IBIS file and the outputs didn't seem right.  So, I tried the LVDS391 instead and they seemed closer to expected.  I looked at the files and found that the 391 has been revised to fix a "common mode bug" but the 391 doesn't have this update.  Can someone update this and send me a new file and post on you website.

Regards,

Tim Love

  • Hi Tim,

I've looked at both the LVD389 and LVD391, and they both have the common mode bug fix. Is your customer using an old download from before 2002 for the LVD389?

  • David,

Looks like the customer has resolved this now:

I was looking at the SN75LVDS389 but the models are the same for the SN65LVDS389 and the SN75LVDS389.  I got the IBIS off the TI website last week and it was dated 4/16/02 but it’s dated different today.  Looks okay.  Thanks.

    Please consider this closed.

    Regards,

    Tim
