WEBENCH® Tools/LM21212-2: FootPrint astimation by WEBENCH Design Report

Hi all,

Somehow the "Design Report" yields with FootPrint of 678mm^2 though the LM21212 is 6.5x6.4mm part.

I expected the tool to take some spare area, but it seems like too much.

Could someone please check or advise?

Yes that looks to be a mistake. I calculate the minimum footprint area for the LM21212-2 to be 48.4 mm^2.

Hi Alon,

Thanks for contacting TI. You were correct. The package assigned to LM21212 had incorrect dimensions associated with it. We have corrected the problem, and the part should now report an area of 71.4 mm^2 (with some padding).

I believe this should resolve your query.
