TIDA-00265: Not getting voltage across Pack+ Pack- pins.

Hi ALl,

I designed my battery protection circuit referring TIDA-00265. I have attached my design schematic, and Layout for your reference. 

I assume voltage should be seen across Pack+ Pack-  Pins.  I am not getting the voltage across Pack+ and Pack- pins in my design.  

Can someone please review my design and let me know what could be the issue?

    Hi Lakshmikanth,

      Would you please try followings according the datasheet and let's know if the issue is still there:

    CAUTION: When the battery is connected for the first time, the discharging circuit might not be enabled. In this case, short the V– pin to the VSS pin.

    Alternatively, connect the charger between the Pack+ and Pack– terminals in the system.
