PMP10116: 200W LED Lighting Power Supply Design

Part Number: PMP10116
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01464

Hi,

My requirement is 200w to 250w dimmable LED driver design for HighBay fixtures with output voltage = 75V to 90V & output current = 3A. Can you give me reference design matching the output requrements to start with.

Regards,

Amit

  • Amit, hello and thank you for your interest in Texas Instruments. Before we start to look at your query versus our database of designs, can you possibly provide more insight as to the input voltage requirements you're looking for? We're clear on the output needs, but need to get some insight on the input voltage side of the equation. We're assuming that this is an AC input voltage since the design you referenced (PMP10116) was an AC input designs.

    Let us know

  • Hi J,

Given below is my specific requirement.

    Functions:
    1. For driving HighBay fixtures
    2. Dimming (0-10V / PWM/Triac). If possible, 3.6VDC supply for dimming module will be appreciable.

    Specifications:
    1. I/P Voltage = 90 - 305VAC, 50/60Hz
    2. O/P Voltage = 75 - 90VDC
    3. O/P Current = 3A
    4. PF = >0.9
    5. O/P Power = 200W - 250W

    Protections:
    1. Short Circuit
    2. Over Voltage = 250 ~ 440 VAC
    3. Over Temperature = -25 to 85C
    4. No Load protection
    5. Surge Protection = 4 to 10 KV

  • Hi Amit,

the PMP10116 will not work for your specs. I did not find a published design which meets your requirements exactly but the TIDA 01464 is probably a good starting point:
    www.ti.com/TIDA-01464
It is a 200W LED power supply with an input voltage range of 85VAC to 305VAC and output voltage range between 100V to 200V.
Just in case you are interested. You can find many of our reference designs at:

    Thanks,
