PMP4484: 2 Channel instead of 6 channel output

Part Number: PMP4484
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3414, LM3414HV, UCC28810

Hi,

Can this design be used for only 2 channel output so that I can use it with 2 LED strips of warm & cool LEDs? If yes, what changes need to be done in the design?

Regards,

Amit

  • Hi Amit,

What is the input voltage for your project? And what is the output voltage and the output current?

    Regards

    Linda

  • Hi Linda,

    Requirement is as mentioned below.

    Functions:
    1. Dual Channel (2 drive 2 LED strings simultaneously)
    2. Dimming (0-10V / PWM/Triac)
    3. Tuning (CCT adjustable)

    Specifications:
    1. I/P V/G = 90 - 305VAC, 50/60Hz
    2. O/P V/G = 30 - 40VDC each, 50VDC Max
    3. O/P Current = 300mA
    4. PF = >0.9
    5. O/P Power = (12W for each channle) Total 25W

    Protections:
    1. Short Circuit
    2. Over Voltage = 250 ~ 440 VAC
    3. Over Temperature = -25 to 85C
    4. No Load
    5. Surge Protection = 4 to 6 KVA

    Regards,

    Amit

  • Hi Amit,

    Please find the reply below.

    1. Change LM3414 to LM3414HV as the maximum output voltage is 50V

    2. Change R26 to 49.4k ohm to set the UCC28810 output to 54V. BTW, change C1, C2, C38, C26, C27 voltage to 63V.

    3. Change R36, R39 to 10.4k ohm to set the output current to 300mA. Then delete U7, U8, U9, U10, U3, D9 and other components not used.

    Regards

    Linda
